Machakos county First Lady Lillian Mutua on Thursday flagged off a team of five members under the banner 'Step By Step Cancer Awareness' initiative at Mua Hills in Machakos county.
Speaking during the occasion, the First Lady expressed her support for the initiative terming it as a noble cause that deserves everyone's support and encouragement.
"I fully support this great and noble cause as it is in line with Machakos county cancer awareness campaign that has seen thousands sensitized and tested for cancer," she said.
The 'Step by Step Cancer Awareness' initiative has walked from Migori county and it is destined for Mombasa county.
The main aim of the walk is to create a cancer awareness and raise treatment funds for women affected by cervical cancer.
