[Photo: The Star]The late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo had a premonition of his death, a day before he was found dead at his Kwa Kyelu ranch in Machakos.His second wife Nduku Kilonzo, the Star reports, told a Machakos court on Tuesday that her husband had told her that his life was in danger after seeing some insects in their house."He had noticed some insects in the house. I wanted to call a fumigation company, but he told me, that his life was is in danger and, therefore, could not allow strangers in the house," Nduku told the court as quoted by the Star.Nduku added that she asked her husband whether it was a threat he had received earlier, but 'he did not want to discuss the matter'.She said Mutula told her 'what you do not know will never hurt you'."He looked bothered but did not disclose the nature of the threat. He was expressing the fears over his life on Thursday, a day before his death. I last saw him that Friday morning before he left for work," Nduku added, as further quoted by the Star.Nduku told magistrate Kipkurui Kibellion that she had been married to the late senator for 31 years and she had not known him to suffer from any ailment, but at the time of his death, she said, Mutula was taking some lozenges for a cold.Mutula died in 2013, barely a few months after he won the county Senate seat. The hearing continues on October 22.
