Mutula Kilonzo Jnr on Tuesday told the court that his father’s death was a well-organized plan which involved individuals close to him.
According to Kilonozo Jnr, his father; the late Mutula Kilonzo was killed, and the matter covered up by individuals whose motive is not known.
Speaking in a Machakos court where he was testifying, the young Kilonzo further reveealved how samples from the late senator’s body were withheld for days, before being flown to the United Kingdom for examination.
“Prof Calder stated clearly that he went out of his way (of professional ethics) because of the magnitude of the matter and examined unsealed samples and advised Dr Gachie and Dr Musau (local pathologists involved in the process) that he could not sign his report unless he received sealed samples,” said Mutula Jnr as quoted by the Standard.
He further revealed that the report from the UK hospital indicated that the late senator died of excessive hemorrhage.
“That was episode two of the cover-up of my father’s death because there was no explanation as to why the samples had not been sealed, and why the family was not informed of the same,” he added.
The late senator was found dead in his Maanzoni ranch, Machakos County, on April 27, 2013.
