While Raila has distanced himself from the ouster of Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetangula, sources however intimate that the former is aware of the schemes within ODM.

"I have learnt about that (Wetangula's ouster) in media and I am not party to it. He can only be removed by NASA summit," he defended himself in Kisii.

Earlier on Friday, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula held a closed door meeting in which Raila was conspicuously absent.

But the ODM party is aid to have a soft spot on Mutula, whose kind of politics is said to be 'sober and objective'.

"He (Mutula) will not be removed as Senate Minority Whip. He has been consistent thus no one will touch him," a source spoke in confidence.

Also targted for removal include Patrick Mbui, the National Assembly Deputy Minority Leader (Wiper) and Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa of Ford Kenya who serves as Minority Deputy Whip.

The intrigues, pundits say, could culminate into imminent divorce of NASA, which Wetangula says will be 'noisy and messy'.
