Kilonzo said he will push for arrests of the artists behind the song.

On his Facebook wall, Kilonzo posted that his office will officially lodge a complaint with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).

He claimed the song promotes tribalism, roots for enmity and division between the Kikuyu and Kamba communities contrary to how songs should be.

The wiper senator urged Kenyans to stop further circulation of the video since it is full of bigotry and gives the owner unnecessary credibility.

“That is uncouth and primitive piece of art, in the fullness of time those two will face the music," Kilonzo stated.

The Kikuyu song by one Isaiah and Waharaka known as “Ikamba” caused a stir in social media after it was posted on YouTube.

Several other leaders from the Ukambani region have called for immediate legal action against the two artists stating that it amounts to incitement.

As a sign of mockery to Kambas, the song begins with the artists eating mangoes from Ukambani. Then it goes ahead asking what members of the Kamba community will eat when the season for mangoes is over.

The duo then state that Kambas will feed on dogs and wild birds such as parrots, the song also castigates Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu over the ongoing controversy on charcoal ban in Ukambani.
