Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) Chairman Ezekiel Mutua post requesting TV personality Larry Madowo to marry has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
The moral police said Madowo is a respected person hence he should settle down.
“@LarryMadowo is a successful journalist but he is no paragon of virtue. He has no moral authority to lecture anyone about life, family or Godliness. Get a wife Chief and settle down!” he posted. The post did not go down well with several Kenyans including Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior.
According to the lawmaker, Mutua has no moral authority to ask Madowo to marry.
“Public officers cannot engage citizens in this manner. You are out of order. We must learn to restrain ourselves howsoever provoked,” this is Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior's reaction to Dr. Ezekiel Mutua’s tweet.
Over years, many have been questioning why Madowo is not yet married.
Several women have even gone to the extent of proposing to him, but he has turned them down.
Madowo is not the only powerful person who is yet to marry.
