Mutula Kilonzo Jnr now wants National Super Alliance (NASA) principals to ‘lock’ themselves far from their advisors and chose among them presidential flag bearer.
Reportedly, a technical committee chosen by Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi has failed to make substantial progress over the choice of flag bearer.
And the Makueni senator believes that the coalition will be in limbo for a longtime if the four leaders fail to meet soonest and make the critical decision.
“I don’t think where we have reached any progress can be made. Time has come for these people to lock themselves somewhere and make a decision in their own,” said Musyoka.
Kilonzo further said: “They should leave their phones and aides behind because time is not on our side. It is only them who can fix this.”
Despite holding a number of unity rallies across the country, the opposition coalition is yet to name its flag bearer with only five months to polls.
But the crisis could further escalate after a section of Ukambani leaders maintained that they will only back Kalonzo for the top seat.
Separately, Mudavadi on Wednesday said the coalition will have a flag bearer by the end of April.
