Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has said that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba should vacate office before the October 17 election.
According to Mutula, Chiloba is among the individuals who denied National Super Alliance (NASA) Victory during the August general election.
“I want to advise the young man by the name Ezra Chiloba to resign because history will judge him very harshly some day. The least this man will spend in jail is 20 years,” he said, as quoted by Nation.
His remarks were reiterated by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu who said that both Chiloba and IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati need to resign from office with immediate effect.
Ngilu said that she has enough evidence that the commissioners of the electoral body have been Jubilee leaders at night.
“They are accusing us of meeting with IEBC officers secretly, yet they are the ones doing it. I recently bumped into one of their secret meetings, and to their surprise, I actually went and greeted them. I have the photos and if they want I can produce evidence,” she said.
