Muturi has presided over stormy assembly proceedings, with the latest being controversial amendment of election laws, a move that did not go well with the opposition.

In his Facebook post on Wednesday, Kibagendi accused Muturi of allowing the executive to control the National Assembly through issuance of acrimonious orders.

“Muturi should take some time and learn from Ethuro on how to conduct parliamentary debates. He has allowed the August House to be taken by the executive,” he said.

“His rulings have been a suspect, making everyone believe that he isn’t acting independently. The speaker should be impartial all the times regardless of the political party he is affiliated to,” he added.

On Wednesday, Ethuro guided Senators to quell political temperatures in the country by subjecting controversial Election laws amendments to the Senate Legal committee.
