National Authority for Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) boss John Mututho has accused Jubilee Members of Parliament of shielding corrupt officers in the government.
Mututho said that most MPs in the jubilee coalition are beneficiaries of the ongoing grand corruption in government and cannot therefore speak against it.
Speaking on Sunday at Naivasha town Mututho said that a good number of MPs from the ruling coalition have been receiving millions of shillings in bribes from senior government officials who have stolen billions of shillings from the government.
“Members of Parliament in the ruling coalition are first hand beneficiaries of this madness of corruption going on in government and that is why they are defending some corrupt people in government,” said Mututho.
He added: “They have been given millions of shillings from the thieves to shield them and defend them in the media.”
He called on President Kenyatta to order a lifestyle and financial audit of all members of his coalition and ask them where they got all the wealth they have immersed in the past two years.
“The president should ask his members of parliament where they are getting all this wealth if not from stealing or benefitting from corruption,” he said
