Former National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA) chairman John Mututho has raised concern over pollution in Lake Naivasha.
Speaking in Nakuru on Wednesday, Mututho faulted flower farms in the area for dumping toxic waste in the lake.
He called for vetting and control of flower farms in the region, saying the pollution is affecting the livelihoods of communities living along the shore.
Mututho urged the relevant authorities to take action against farms breaking environmental regulations, adding that such farms should be prevented from operating along the shores.
This comes amid concerns of pollution of fresh water lakes in the country.
