Former NACADA Chairman John Mututho has landed a new job at Kiambu County.

Mututho will now be spearheading the war against illicit brews in the County.

According to Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, liquor business in Kiambu County is on the rise and there is need for the illegal business to end.

Waititu said Mututho was appointed as a special liaison officer by the county government of Kiambu.

“Mututho has a long experience in the war against illicit liquor. He will help the county in fighting the illegal liquor business which has spoilt the lives of many youths in the region,” said Waititu.

The governor said Mututho will come up with policies which will regulate liquor businesses in the county.

He added that he will sign into law a Bill on Alcoholics and Control of Drinks after the MCAs unanimously passed the motion on Tuesday. 

Waititu was speaking on Thursday at Kiambu town.
