Speaking at a conference in Nyeri, Mr Mututho warned school managers that they would be included in the list of drug traffickers if their schools were found to harbour the outlawed drugs.

The Nacada boss further expressed that high school students are increasingly becoming drug abusers, a fact he affirmed that he would never allow under the watch of his able organisation.

“We are coming there, we will get hold of you as a teacher or principal,” he said.

“We will consider and treat you just like any other trafficker. Let us not pretend and sugarcoat things as if we don't know it, bhang is now being consumed like any other breakfast cereal in our schools and things cannot continue like that.”

He further cautioned pharmaceutical practitioners in the habit of selling spiked drugs to students that their days are numbered.

Mututho said that his office will conduct occasional crackdowns on pharmacies and other medical outlets selling hard drugs to revellers and robbers out to extort from the unsuspecting masses.
