Thika United head coach Nicholas Muyoti has said that he will be getting into the transfer market to beef up his squad ahead of the 2018 Kenya Premier League (KPL) campaign.
Muyoti said they will be hastening to find replacements for Wilson Anekeya and Suleiman Ngotho who have since joined league rivals Kakamega Homeboyz and Posta Rangers respectively.
"Yes, we must sign players especially in defence and striking departments. The many draws and lost matches in the last campaign shows us that this is the area to strengthen. We have lost two important players Anekeya and Ngotho and that means we have to get replacements faster," he said.
"We had targeted to sign some players but unfortunately, they have joined or are in the course of joining other teams. My worry is that we may not have our main striker Onwudi Chibueze who will be having trials outside and so he may not be part of us next season," Muyoti added.
