In an interview with the Standard, the Jubilee governor said that the county has advertised for executive jobs, adding that his rival former Kenyan ambassador to Tanzania Chirau Ali Mwakwere and Dr Issa Chipera who he defeated in the governor race are free to apply.

Mvurya said that he has extended a hand of friendship and togetherness to Mwakwere and other opposition losers.

“I want to ask my friends who I floored in the gubernatorial race to apply for the jobs we have advertised and we will consider their applications,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

Mvurya who was sworn into office on Monday said that his government is keen to recruits individuals who have experience and who will push the development agenda forward.

Meanwhile, the governor has asked employees who performed well in the previous government not to worry about their jobs.
