Photo/ standardmedia.co.keThe disruption of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's rally in Kinango, Kwale, on Thursday is the latest flash point to reignite the war of words between ODM and Jubilee leaders in the county that is slowly turning into a battleground pitting the two rival camps.Speaking on Saturday, the ODM leadership in Kwale condemned the disruption of the rally, with Governor Salim Mvurya being on the receiving end.Led by Kinango MP Hassan Mwanyoha and Nominated Senator Zuleikha Juma, the leaders claimed Mvurya who is the Jubilee Party point man in the county, was behind the attacks that led to the cancellation of the rally. However, in a quick re-battle, the embattled Governor denied involvement in the chaos that rocked the rally, saying he does not control the police. The ODM leaders however said no amount of intimidation will deter them in their pursuit to cement ODM's political bedrock, and vowed to ensure Mvurya is voted out come August. While pitching for Raila Odinga's Presidential bid, Zuleikha said the former Prime Minister is the man to steer devolution to the next level. He added that the ODM leader is the man behind the devolved system of governance which she says the current Jubilee leadership is not keen to implement.
