Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has said he will work with the Jubilee administration to ensure his people benefit from development projects.
Mvurya further said residents in the county will support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in 2017, and will continue working with the government to develop the county.
"We as the people of Kwale will support Jubilee in a bid to realise the development agenda set out by the government to its people. We are currently working with the government and we are going to work hard in ensuring the Jubilee administration wins the 2017 elections,” said Mvurya.
The governor also called upon political leaders to ensure they preach peace in their campaigns to avoid chaos during the elections.
He said peace is important for the country to achieve its development goals, adding that the move will see more investors doing business in the country.
"Peace is important for the development of the country. We need peace to carryout our daily activities and especially businesses that will boost the economy," said Mvurya.
