Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has urged residents to embrace peace and avoid political division.
He said it is only through peace and reconciliation that a society can realize its development agendas.
Addressing McKinnon Road ward residents at the Ward Administrator's office in Taru, Governor Mvurya also urged the people of Kwale county to unite and shun political incitements and divisions.Touching on the boundary issue between Kwale and Taita Taveta counties, Governor Mvurya said the issue would be solved peacefully through legal avenues and it should not be used to create divisions.This comes after claims from Taita Taveta county leaders that McKinnon Road and Taru areas that are in Kwale county are part of their county.At the same time, Mvurya called on the leadership of Kwale county to avoid political sideshows, and unite in serving the people.Governor Mvurya was in McKinnon Road Ward on March 4, presiding over the issuance of bursary cheques worth Sh5.5 million to students from the ward learning in various institutions.He was accompanied by the area Member of County Assembly Tsuma Danda and several County Government officials.
