Political temperatures in Mombasa keep rising with each passing day, something that is said to signify the important role that the county will play in the August polls.
Just a day after Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who has been on a collusion path with Jubilee government was blocked from attending President Uhuru Kenyatta's function at Mtongwe, former Kisauni MP Ananiah Mwaboza is now calling for his arrest.Addressing journalists on Tuesday while in the company of other Jubilee Party leaders in the county, Mwaboza claimed that Joho had hired goons to disrupt the President's function.Mwaboza who was Joho's predecessor in Kisauni said the function which the President was presiding over was a national function and that Joho had nothing to do with it in his capacity as a governor. He further noted that the ODM deputy party leader was keen to engage the President in unnecessary altercations to run away from the main issue of his (Joho's) poor development record in the county.According to the former MP who has been endorsed by Jubilee Party to be Suleiman Shahbal's running mate in the governorship race, Joho should be arrested for allegedly planning chaos and for attempting to intimidate the police in their line of duty.
