Former Kisauni MP Anania Mwaboza has lauded Nyali MP Hezron Awiti for ditching Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party.Mwaboza said Awiti had no chance of being endorsed as Wiper's candidate for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat in the August 8 general election.Mwaboza claimed that Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, who is Wiper's Secretary General, has already been endorsed for the seat.“Awiti did the right thing by ditching Wiper because he had no chance of being endorsed to contest for the Mombasa governor seat,” said Mwaboza. He asked the Nyali MP to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party, adding that the opposition has nothing to offer Kenyans.Mwaboza, who is Jubilee Mombasa governor aspirant Suleiman Shahbal's running mate said it is time for Coast leaders to work with a government that is ready to address their problems. This comes after Awiti ditched the Kalonzo-led party on Tuesday. The Nyali MP said his decision to quit Wiper was based on suspicion that the party nominations might not be fair and transparent. He, however, did not reveal the party he is decamping to and urged his supporters to remain patient.
