Former Kisauni MP Anania Mwaboza at a past event. Photo/ the-star.co.keEven before the dust could settle on Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's Tuesday press conference regarding his academic qualifications amid claims of forging his KCSE certificate, former Kisauni MP Anania Mwaboza quickly hit back at the Governor.Mwaboza, who is Jubilee Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal's running mate, claimed that the Governor is using theatrics to hide his poor development record."The running of Mombasa County government has been characterized by showbiz theatrics, press conferences on the Governor's personal issues but no development record worth writing home about for the economy and the residents," said Mwaboza in a statement. The former lawmaker's attack on the county boss is the latest in a series of onslaughts against the embattled Governor who has been at the receiving end in the past few weeks. In what may be seen as a renewed one-decade long political rivalry between the two that stretches back to their days at Kisauni, Mwaboza asked Joho to differentiate between his personal issues and his role as a Governor, and continued to poke holes into his (Joho's) development record four years since coming into office.
