Former Kisauni MP Ananiah Mwaboza is keen to change the patterns of politics in Mombasa.Mwaboza, who was recently endorsed as Suleiman Shahbal's running mate in the Mombasa gubernatorial race, has asked the county residents to embrace Jubilee Party.Speaking on Sunday in Jomvu, Mwaboza who was in the company of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko said that the thorny land issue which has always been a nightmare in the region has been fully addressed.Mwaboza said Mombasa has in the past been used by politicians as a bargaining chip, a trend which he said needs to change. He added that it's only the Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee government that will fully tackle the myriad of challenges that the region is grappling with.
On his part, Sonko who is also keen to unseat Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero urged the county residents to re-elect President Kenyatta in August.
He further pleaded with the electorate to give the Jubilee team of Shahbal and Mwaboza a chance to lead them. The duo's statements come as the race between opposition coalition NASA and the Jubilee Party to take control of the port city hots up.
