Speaking to the press after casting his vote at Ziwani Primary school on Tuesday, Mwakwere said that conducted his campaigns well, adding that he expects to beat incumbent Salim Mvurya with over 80 per cent of votes.
Mwakwere asked Mvurya to concede defeat if he loses.
The Wiper governor hopeful urged supporters to remain peaceful.
The former Kenyan ambassador to Tanzania also appealed to supporters and Kenyans to accept the outcome of the election results whichever way it goes.
"We must be ready to embrace the results whether favorable or not,'' he said as quoted by the Star.
The incumbent governor Mvurya who ditched ODM party is seeking to retain the seat on Jubilee party ticket and has equally exuded the confidence of retaining the seat.
