Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka has hailed the police for cracking down on NASA politicians who planned Raila Odinga’s oath ceremony on Tuesday last week.Addressing Mwala residents after inspecting development projects in the constituency on Sunday, Musyoka said the crackdown on rogue opposition politicians will be a lesson to others who plan to disobey the law.He hailed the arrest of a section of NASA MPs and politicians, arguing that they were involved in administering of an illegal oath.Musyoka defended Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'I, urging him to continue ensuring that the rule of law is adhered to."I don't see anything wrong in the government cracking down on rogue politicians who aided Raila in taking an illegal oath. Such people should be now behind bars," he said.Musyoka said for the rule of law to be observed, the government has to act tough and deal with perpetrators of impunity. The Maendeleo Chap Chap MP asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that all people who took part in Raila's illegal coronation are dealt with accordingly.The government has intensified its crackdown on NASA politicians who are said to have planned and administered the oath to Raila Odinga last week.On Saturday police arrested Makadara MP George Aladwa but later released him on a free police bond.According to police, Aladwa was arrested in relation to an alleged attack on NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka's Karen home on Tuesday night last week.On Friday last week, self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna was nabbed by flying squad officers at his Runda home. Miguna is still in police custody despite a court order that granted him release on a Sh50,000 cash bail.Miguna is said to have been transferred from Githunguri police station to Lari where he is being held before being presented in court on Monday (today).On Wednesday, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang was arrested and charged with administering an illegal oath.The MP was released on a Sh 50,000 cash bail pending his plea on Tuesday.Raila has since condemned the government’s crackdown on opposition politicians.Raila wants the police to arrest him instead of going for his allies who he says are innocent.
