Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka has criticized former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti for claiming that Governor Alfred Mutua wants to assassinate her.
Musyoka wants Ndeti to stop soiling Mutua’s name, saying that it is time the Wiper politician accepted reality and moved on.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Friday, Musyoka said Ndeti is still suffering from last year’s election hangovers.
He said Ndeti’s claims that Mutua is behind unknown people trailing her are unfounded and meant to tarnish the governor 's image.
“It is unfortunate that Wavinya Ndeti can go to an extent of peddling malicious propaganda against Governor Alfred Mutua,” Musyoka said.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party MP asked Ndeti to apologize to the governor.
He claimed that Ndeti wants to create rifts between Machakos residents for her political gains.
“As Ukambani leaders we are not going to allow few people to peddle malicious propaganda with the intent of causing fights among our people,” Musyoka added.
On Tuesday, Ndeti in a post on her Facebook and twitter accounts accused Governor Mutua of allegedly trailing her.
She alleged that Mutua is behind unknown individuals who have been allegedly trailing her.
Ndeti who unsuccessfully contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in last year’s polls, asked her supporters to blame Mutua should anything happens to her.
Governor Mutua has since threatened to sue her if she does not apologize in seven days time.
