The people's grievances were presented to the people by a youth representative from Masii ward named Innocent Musumbi Kimathi who urged the police to enhance patrols especially during evenings, between 6pm to 9pm when business people close and are walking home.

"There has been a gang bothering Mwala residents especially businesses men and women as they walk or take motorcycles home, after they close their business during the evening hours," explained Musumbi.

The youth representative said that bussines in the area is not going on well as people are forced to close down early, before dusk, in fear of the robbers who terrorize them on their way home, hence their sales per day are reducing, since they cannot work extra hours after dusk.

The people therefore called upon police to ensure their security by increasing police patrols and utilize the many patrol cars Machakos county has.

They also asked the county government to increase police stations in the areas so that the police can be close to the people, so that they will be able to respond fast when people call for help via 999.
