A 32-year-old teacher from Kiundwani secondary in Kibauni, Mwala sub-county was arrested on Saturday for allegedly defiling and impregnating his student, a form three girl.

Confirming this incident, Mwala OCPD Henry Rukaria Kimathi said that the said man for aa longtime has been having an illicit affair with the student who is three months pregnant. 

The girls parents noticed her pregnancy where after interrogation she spilled the beans. However the girls parents explained their shock where they said they were shocked that the teachers they entrust their children with could turn out to be this "despicable". 

The suspect is held at Masii police station where he is expected to appear in court on Monday next week.
