A Nyamira MCA now wants Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominated MP Isaac Mwaura relieved of his duties.
Mwaura was among MPs who were de-whipped by the Orange party during its National Governing Council resolution early this month.
Speaking to this reporter on Sunday, Bogichora MCA Beuttah Omanga challenged party leadership to expedite the removal of the rebel MP.
“The ODM party should not be tolerant sometimes. Someone like Mwaura who speaks carelessly about its leadership should be relieved of his duties,” he said.
“He is only a nominated MP yet he is not propagating the party agenda. That is clear evidence that he is a disgrace to the party. Time has come for loyalist to be rewarded and not people who are out to injure the party’s reputation,” he added.
On Saturday, Mwaura was quoted predicting a landslide victory for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the much anticipated 2017 polls.
