Kenya Federation (FKF) chairman Nick Mwendwa has assured that preparations are in top gear to ensure that the country hosts the African Nations Championship (CHAN) set for January 12.
Speaking on Thursday, the football boss who also chairs the Local Organising Committee (LOC) said they are confident the event will not be moved elsewhere.
"We are on a tight leash considering that the last inspection would be done early next month.But Im delighted all the tenders have been given out and I have confidence we will make it", he said.
" We expect that when the inspection team comes they will find some substantive work being donedone", he added.
Mwendwa further assured that the Nyayo stadium will be ready to host the three -week bonanza in 14 weeks time while the Meru,Machakos and Kipchoge Keino will be ready before the continental event begins.
