Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa on Monday condone with the family of Kenyan football legend Sammy Taabu.

The former AFC Leopards player was found dead inside his car after exercising at Railways Training Institute in Nairobi’s South B on Friday evening.

Mwendwa posted on his social media page to express his condolence to the family and friends of the late icon.

"My condolences to the family and friends of the late Sammy Taabu, football has indeed lost an icon. RIP skipper, he wrote.The Ingwe legend was part of the famous Harambee Stars team of coach Marshall Mulwa that won the East and Central African Senior challenge consecutively from 1981 to 1983,"  read Mwendwa's.
