Football Kenya Limited (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa has rubbished claims that national male soccer team Harambee Stars coach Paul Put is on his way out.
This follows recent claims that the Belgian, who joined the team on a 2-year contract late last year, could be on his way to the Guinean side, Syli Nationale.
Coach Put is reportedly among coaches being eyed by the team to replace Kanfory Lappe Bengoura who was sacked following a terrible performance at the 2018 African National Championship (CHAN) campaigns.
However, in an exclusive interview with the national broadcaster KBC in Nairobi Wednesday, Mwendwa denied receiving any information from the tactician with regards the movement.
''I have not received any information regarding that and is therefore not aware of any such movement. He is yet to personally reach out to the federation if the claims are true,'' he said.
''We have a 2-year contract which has not expired yet. He has also manifested his ability to better our team and we would like him to stay,'' he added.
The 61-year-old has since helped Stars win the concluded CECAFA competitions hosted by the nation last December.
The coach had earlier sharpened other teams including The Scorpions of Gambia before landing in the nation.3
