Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa has lauded the national team Harambee Stars for a run of ten games unbeaten.
This is after Stars defeated a much better ranked DR Congo side 2 – 1 in an international friendly match staged at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos over the weekend.
“I am happy with the team and the good run we have established. We are now ten matches unbeaten and that is great news for us as well as the confidence of the team. This is very crucial as we prepare for the coming AFCON qualifiers.
“The team has gelled well and the coaches are doing fine as well. It is a good time for us and we can only hope it continues that way,” he said.
Mwendwa has acknowledges that the confidence gained in the matches will go a long way in helping the team actualize its chances of qualifying for Afcon
