Congratulating the new Deputy Chief Justice and Justice Lenaola after witnessing the swearing-in ceremony at State House, Nairobi, President Kenyatta said he looked forward to working together with the judiciary in serving Kenyans.

“I just want to reiterate, once again, that at the end of the day we serve the same people. Therefore, we need complement each other in discharging our mandates to the people. We are not in competition,” President Kenyatta said as quoted by PSCU.

The President assured the judiciary of his support to enable it discharge its duties to Kenyans effectively.

Chief Justice David Maraga, Attorney General Githu Muigai, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, and Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua among other senior Government officials attended the brief ceremony conducted by Chief Registrar of Judiciary Anne Atieno Amadi.
