A group of youths from Mwingi have called upon leaders of the National Super Alliance (NASA) to front Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for Presidency ahead of the August General election.
The youths, who spoke Mwingi town on Sunday, said that Kalonzo is the best candidate the opposition can present to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during the forthcoming general polls.
According to the youths Kalonzo has what it takes to deliver the seat to the opposition if he is granted the supported required after being named NASA flag bearer.
Through their spokesperson Francis Muthengi, the youths urged politicians from this parts of the area not to use them to rise to power when that time comes.
The youths also urged the residents to back Kitui Governor Julius Malombe for another term in office saying that he has done a lot for this part of the nation.
“We as Mwingi youths have endorsed Governor Julius Malombe as our candidate for governor because he is the only leader who has transformed Kitui County. The rest are just there to make sure Malombe doesn’t win unopposed,” Muthengi said, as quoted by Star.
