Cord leader Raila Odinga has said the Memorandum of Understanding he signed with Wiper leader leader Kalonzo Musyoka in 2013 is no longer applicable.
Raila said the MoU would apply now if he had been elected President during the last poll.
In an interview with a local television station on Sunday, he said the agreement was no longer binding as he did not win the Presidency.
There has been speculation that the two leaders were headed for separation ahead of he t2017 polls as Kalonzo is said to be warming up to Jubilee.
He said according to the arrangement, he would have served one term before passing on the button Mr Kalonzo.
Raila said although the MoU no longer applies, he would still work with Kalonzo politically.
Leaders from Ukambani have of recent indicated that they would work with Jubilee in 2017.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has hosted two delegations from the region at State House.
The two meetings however, were snubbed by a section of leaders including Governors Julius Malombe (Kitui) and Prof Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni)
The two are said to be against calls to join Jubilee.
In the last meeting at State House, the Ukambani leaders were led by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
