Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago now says he will be pegging his re-election bid on an excellent development track record.
Mandago who is facing a tough battle from billionaire business mogul Bundotich Kiprop Buzeki further believes Uasin Gishu residents will be wise enough to give him another term at the helm of the county.
Speaking in Moiben sub county, Thursday, Mandago noted that since 2013, his administration has been able to improve locals livelihoods through investments in key sectors.
"We have expanded infrastructure and bettered agricultural practices among other efforts that has led to World bank ranking us as the second best county in in ease of starting business and most investment friendly," noted Mandago.
The governor who secured the Jubilee party ticket also reiterated that he has been fairly allocating resources across the county.
"I believe that the electorate will vote in August polls based on what we have achieved as this county's development track record is out there to see," Mandago said.
