Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior on Tuesday testified in case attempting to establish the death of his father, late father Mutula Kilonzo.

According to Daily Nation, the senator said that his father was murdered in a plot involving workers or persons close to him.

Mutula said that the lack of reports of the people the deceased last communicated with is a clear indicator that he was murdered.

"I expected a report on who the workers or the people my father spoke or made contact with hours or days before he died but no such report has ever been done,” he said, as quoted by the local daily.

He also said that court Ian Koller, a family pathologist hired from the UK was presented with unsealed samples, which showed that the process was compromised.

The lawmaker’s death has remained a mystery with witnesses appearing before the court. An autopsy report indicated that the senator died of massive bleeding because of high blood pressure.

The demise of the senator attracted mixed reactions from different factions with the opposition asking the government to fasten investigations into his death. 

The family of the senator has been lamenting over delayed justice following his death. The death of the lawmaker brought about different issues including property row among the family members.
