Machakos Woman Representative aspirant, Agnes Kavindu, has claimed that her life in danger ahead of the August general elections.
Kavindu, who is Senator Muthama Johnson’s ex-wife, has called upon the government to protect her before something sinister happens to her.
Speaking to the press after addressing a series of rallies in Masinga Constituency, Kavindu said that several vehicles have been trailing her for the past few days.
She also revealed that the vehicles have been dropping leaflets with the aim of disrupting her campaign after she cleared to contest for the seat in the August general elections.
"For the past three days there are vehicles which have been trailing me everywhere I go. I would like police to get to the bottom of the matter by investigating owners of these vehicles and the motive behind their actions," she said, as quoted by Standard.
She also revealed that she has recorded with the security officers. She further urged the police to conduct faster investigations in order to come to the bottom of the matter before it is too late.
"I have already reported this matter to Katangi Police Post and want police to conduct speedy investigations," Kavindu said. She also questioned why someone would come after her life.
