A Jubilee parliamentary aspirant has suffered a loss after his house in Nairobi was burnt down by unknown people, Tuesday night.
The politician, Simon Nga’anga, is now claiming his life and his family members are in danger.
The Ruiru parliamentary aspirant has accused his political rivals of being behind the tragedy after he beat them during the Jubilee party primaries.
“I have been receiving threats from unknown people. I have also noticed people trailing my car on different occasions. Last Saturday, the same people attempted to burn my house but the fire was contained. Unfortunately, the assailants succeeded in their mission and burned my house. Nobody was home by then…I was alerted by neighbours,” said Nga’anga as quoted by Tuko.
Nga’nga is now calling on police to protect him.
“I have been ignoring all the signs and taking them lightly but if recent events are anything to go by, I believe my life and family are in danger,” he added.
