Though their efforts to gain entry to his house were futile after he wired the police who responded immediately, the youth leader has expressed concern over his life, terming it as a political move by his political enemies to silence him.

He recorded a statement at Ekerenyo Sub county headquarters on Monday morning, before further calling Nyamira County OCPD Rico Ngare and briefing him over the same.

“No man can stop an idea whose time has come, I won’t stop pushing for better service delivery for my people, the state should beef up security in the area, investigate this matter and bring the perpetrators to book,” Marube said.

Marube, who has been lately leading the anti-IEBC Cord protests in the county has sent jitters to many youthful leaders who are afraid of his popularity.

This incident comes barely a month after he went on head with the incumbent Ekerenyo ward MCA at a funeral, after he was denied a chance to address teh mouners.

He has however vowed to continue leading from the front in restoring the lost glory by demanding accountability and transparency while handling public resources and completion of stalled projects.
