Ben Gethi on Sunday recorded a statement at Parklands Police Station claiming that powerful individuals were targeting to kill him over confidential information about the scandal.

Gethi said that an unidentified motorbike rider had dropped a threat leaflet which alluded that his appearance before the National Assembly's Public Accounts Committee last week would not go unpunished.

We will do what we have to do. Asante."

(Ben, on Tuesday we will be watching you closely, whatever you have which you will give to those people does not concern you but concerns others, let it not reach them. If the information reaches them, then something will have to be done and if you think they will protect you, we know where to find your loved ones... Thank you)” read a leaflet as quoted by Standard.

Earlier at the PAC hearing, the witness claimed that former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru had benefitted from the stolen NYS money.
