Kitui Senator David Musila has said that he has never experienced the kind of defeat he suffered during Wiper Party nominations as he sought to send home incumbent governor Dr Julius Malombe, Star reports. The lawmaker said that what he saw during wiper nominations is a “rare experience that belongs to the utopian world”. The senator also said that he has witnessed several nominations exercises before but this time round he saw something different “I have personally presided over elections as a DC up to the time I was a PC, but my experience in the Wiper primaries is something strange,” Musila said, as quoted by Star. The remarks of the Senator come after he opted to resign as Wiper Chairman citing frustration. The lawmaker lamented that Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka colluded with Malombe to lock him out of the race ahead of the forthcoming general polls. The senator said that Wiper allowed officials aligned to Malombe handle the nomination exercise, adding that there is no way he would have emerged the winner under such a situation. Musila has, however, said that he will defend his seat as an Independent Candidate when that time comes. He will be banking on the support of the electorate to clinch the seat.
