Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has termed his political opponents 'weak' and challenged them to drop their ambitions for their own good.
Onyonka, a former ODM rebel, has been facing resistance from former Mayor Sam Omwando and activist Antony Kbagendi, who wants him to be blocked out of the Orange party.
On Thursday during Odinga's tour to Kisii County, Onyonka reportedly engaged Omwando in a physical confrontation, an act which was indirectly condemned by Odinga.
"Politics of propaganda cannot work especially when dealing with me. I have been in ODM longer than even my weak opponents They should consider quitting before I humiliate them in party primaries," he said.
"I do not fear them because they are non-issues in Kisii politics. I want to challenge them to engage me in mature politics rather than sparking unnecessary sideshows," he added.
Onyonka, a former fierce critic of Governor James Ongwae, has since thrown his support behind the ODM governor and promised to ensure he is re-elected.
