The Kisii county Senator Chris Obure has asked his critics to stop spoiling his name that he is greedy for power and lucrative positions in the society.
Obure said that it’s because of his good work which he has been doing since being Mp that has made the people ask him to serve them as the governor.
“My records are known to the people since I was a Member of parliament up to now, if they asked me to remain as a Senator I will do so but now they have requested me to be their governor why then should I let them down," said Obure.
“Am not fighting anybody politically I work as per the desire of the people who elected me the issue of bringing in several issues is a political scheme which I don’t and will not buy,” he added.
The Kisii county gubernatorial seat has become tight with the incumbent Governor James Ongwae expected to defend his seat.
