Ahmed Abdullahi, Wajir County Governor, has said that he will win in the forthcoming polls due to his good track record.
Ahmed on Wednesday noted that his opponents have personal issues against his performance in the county.
“I have been governor for more than 4 years and my performance is out there for all to see,” he said as quoted by the Star.
He exuded confidence that electorates in Wajir will re-elect him.
“I hope that people will not elect a person who will undo the gains we have made since 2013,” he said.
He said that his administration has established a police post at Fadhiweyn, a border between Wajir and Garissa counties to prevent armed gangs from invading settlements.
He added that at Burumayo and Gunane where clan clashes were experienced his government assisted the security forces to set up a police post.
