Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong'o has said that his recent trip to Italy was fruitful to Kisumu.
Speaking in Mfangano Island, Mbita constituency when paying his last respect to Mama Damaris Awour Oyugi, Nyong'o explained that the benefits will start trickling down soon.
“My visit to Genoa was a mission to meet potential investors who are interested in improving maritime transport thus enhancing maritime trade within the Lake Region Economic Bloc, something that will soon come to pass,” he stated.
Nyong'o expounded to the locals that devolution was aimed at ensuring the county realizes its full potential.
Regarding the handshake, the Prof noted that it is a bridge to the future of Kenya, the bridge to security, development and harmony to Kenyans.
Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang' lauded the fourteen governors forming the Lake Region Economic Bloc for coming together and initiating the group adding that it will spur development.
