A driver who initially accused his estranged wife of using a knife to stab him in the stomach now wants the case withdrawn.

Joseph Irungu told the court that he still loves the wife despite her attack on him using a kitchen knife.

He had moved to court after Venic Kombo, his wife, stabbed him at their home in Embakasi on April 9.

Court documents show that the couple had their disagreement over a phone.

Irungu is said to have left his mobile phone with Ms Kombo in the house only to return later and find it spoilt.

On seeking explanation from his wife, she denied having damaged the gadget, and this resulted into a fight.

Claims also showed that although the man dropped the issue, Kombo got angered and attacked him with a knife.

“I’ve forgiven her because she is my wife. I still love her,” said Irungu while asking to withdraw the case.
