Starehe MP Charles Njagua alias Jaguar has denied claims of electoral malpractices and said he won the August 8 general election legitimately.
Speaking on court on Thursday, Jaguar said that the final results of Starehe constituency were an accurate representation of the will of the people in the area.
"The outcome of the votes in the entire voting process proved that I sweated (sic) through my campaigns and rallies and I used a lot of time and energy to travel the constituency and convince them to elect me," he said.
He was testifying in the petition filed by his rival Steve Mbogo contesting his victory.
Mbogo alleges that the polls were manipulated to favour Jaguar, adding that his agent was attacked and stabbed.
The case will continue on Friday.
