Dennis Muigai Ngengi who claimed to have witnessed the accident that led to the death of Nyeri county boss Wahome Gakuru and the Lake Nakuru chopper crash has been denied bail.The Kwale Law Courts denied Ngengi bond following his arrest in Kiambu County on Friday. Ngengi was arrested for impersonating a police and military intelligence officer.His arrest came after Kenyans on social media questioned how one person could witness two major incidents in the country. Ngengi had earlier denied witnessing the Nakuru accident before police launched a manhunt for him following a directive from Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet.Ngengi, who reportedly dodged police for close to 28 years, is said to have given false identification information to evade arrest after flouting traffic rules in April 2015. Documents seen by Baraka FM indicated that he had identified himself as Captain Dennis Muigai Jomo, operating at the Moi Air Base in Nairobi.He will be held at Migingo prison in Kwale until January 8, 2018.
