Members of Nyakeore SDA church in Nyamira County are in a shock and disbelief mood following a shift of a mysterious picture from the old building to the new one.
The mysterious picture reflected itself in the old building in 1989 following uncouth activities that were taking place in the church hence romours that the supernatural being decided to manifest it.
According to Mzee Onchwari Okong’o, some members of the church had exhumed a dead body and took it to church for consumption. It is after that incident that they were revealed on a special picture on the wall.
“This is historical. It was even documented in BBC after some church members decided to exhume a corpse and took it to church for consumption purposes. It was a shame and the picture has been here for all these years,” he said.
According to him, efforts to make the picture fade were futile since it kept on brightening the moment they tried to paint the wall.
“We have tried for many years to remove the picture, but interestingly being God’s plan, it keeps on brightening and even becoming clearer," he added.
It is after this that they build another church but unfortunately, the picture has started manifesting itself slowly in the new building, something that has made worshippers unease.
It is true that the miracle picture is slowly shifting to the new building and this is disappointing but we cannot question God’s plans,” said Mzee Okong’o.
